The Ask
  • Develop and manage a national Major Junior (CHL) and Junior Hockey program on behalf of The Home Depot Canada, consisting of more than 30 community-focused team partnerships.

  • Build and execute a consistent sponsorship activation template and develop best practices to help ensure maximum value is achieved in each sponsored team community. 

  • Engage local Home Depot Store Managers and associates by creating authentic opportunities to interact with community members through team sponsorship assets. 

  • Leverage engagement opportunities to demonstrate Home Depot's commitment to the local community to strengthen consumer relationships and trust.

 

The Outcome

Highlights include:

 

  • In-store player appearances, ‘On the Bench” coaching clinic and Backyard Rink community contests, The Home Depot Foundation fundraisers, VIP contractor hosting events, and Game Night sponsorship activation programs driving traffic to local stores and engagement within the local community.  

  • Engaging video and photo content captured at community activation events and shared via social and digital channels, leveraging the community influence and engaged fan following of team partners.
